Miami Beach Edition Trip: Day One!

    I just got back from Miami yesterday, we had so much fun! We were only there for three days and our first day it straight up rained as soon as we got there. There was not enough time or good weather to do everything we wanted, but I will share what we did and where we went with you guys, as well as some photos.
    First off, The Miami Beach Edition is one of the most stunning hotels in Miami Beach. It's further away from South Beach, so It's a bit quieter than staying somewhere on Ocean. The lobby is luxurious and the service from the beginning from valet, front desk, the bars, the restaurants..
everyone was really top notch.

The cabanas looked very comfy and clean, probably worth it to rent one for the day if you are with a larger party. 

This was our view to the right of our ocean view balcony. The building you see is also part of the hotel, those are the ocean view bungalows. 

The first day we got there, it was raining hard during the day, but in the evening we headed to the beach. We saw a tarpon, that everyone thought was a shark, a stingray, and a bunch of other little fishies. Which, our daughter thoroughly enjoyed! At night, we headed out to dinner and to walk around Espanola Way. We had done this many times, but our friends had never been to Miami, so we had to show them the sights. We ate at Moshi Moshi and headed back to get much needed sleep. 

Our Upcoming Vacation: Sun, Fun and... Stress?

   

       So, I realize there are people out there who think that being a stay at home wife and mommy is easy breezy, but I assure you it is no easier than a full time job. From cleaning to cooking to tending to a toddlers every demand, it is very time consuming and emotionally draining. Therefore, we sometimes deserve a vacation as well, right? Thanks to some awesome family with a condo in Miami, I just booked a small vaca at the end of this month. I, unfortunately, booked with Spirit Airlines... It was my first time experiencing this WTF-ery.. I do not recommend them at all, I will not go into detail but you should know they have endless amounts of hidden fees and terrible service that took me literally all day to reach a 'real' person. Not to mention after all the hidden extras you might as well book with a better airline and pay the same in the end!

          Moving on.. I always loved going to South Beach, it was and is still one of my favorite places to visit for a quick vacation. Miami has amazing beaches, great food, and amazing nightlife. The last time I was there was a couple of years ago and before having a baby. I was in MUCH better shape. Mind you, I am not a fat person and I lost all my baby weight and then some but was never able to get rid of the loose mommy tummy. Under all that skin is a six pack I swear! It is time for a bikini update and I have been eyeing a few high waist ones. I would do a monokini but it makes my boobs look non existent(even more so now after bearing children!).

I appreciate that American Apparel uses these real girls as models.
