What I Wore; Black and White Linen Blends

This is what I wore the day before we left Virginia to come up to CT and it was a gorgeous day with a high of 80 degrees. Sadly, when we got to CT the temperature dropped into the 40's and Sunday we are getting snow. It's so weird to think that there can be such a drastic difference between the two states since they are only 6 hours apart.
I found this skirt at H&M on sale with a $10 sticker, but online it is shown for $17. Either way, it is a nice fit and pretty good thick woven material.

What I Wore: Striped Classic Shirt and White High Waist Pants

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! Yesterday we had a family date, just the three of us. As much as I loved to party back in the day with friends and get cray, these days are still better. We went out for sushi (yes my three year old likes sushi) and went to see the minions movie, which was pretty good! Afterwards we took the kid to the park and had Mexican food for dinner.

Shirt Forever21    /     Necklace here    /  Cuff Bracelets here

If you guys ever make it to Westerly RI ,or the surrounding area, you have to check out Koi. The roll on the right is a coconut lovers DREAM! it is drizzled in this amazing yummy coconut sauce and it's rightfully called the amazing roll. Everything always tastes so fresh, and they are so friendly and have great service. Highly recommend this spot.

Also, the giveaway contest for the gift card is still going on, and you can enter until the very end, so don't forget to enter that.

What I Wore: Crinkled Palazzo Pant and Backless Top

Crinkled Palazzo Pants here for $12.90     /     earings are Zara

These wide leg palazzo pants from Forever 21 are oh so comfortable and they breath well and flow nicely when moving. They look best with cropped tops, and I made the mistake of tucking in this pretty backless top. You can not see it in person, but the fabric of these pants is so thin, you could see the outline of the shirt through the pants in photos. I would not recommend it.

I would like to give everyone a heads up that I will be dropping the blogspot at the end of my blog address within the next few days. You should be automatically directed here even if you forget and leave it on, just wanted to warn you, though.

I hope every one had a great weekend and a nice, safe memorial day!

The New Forever 21(30)

Forever 21 has come such a long way from when I was actually 21, it seriously makes me wish I was 21 again so I wouldn't feel so bad about being an old hag who still shops there. It used to be all tacky tank tops and skanky skirts, but where they are right now I really see them being a competitor for other retailers like Zara, in the sense that their styles are identical, the quality is damn close, BUT their prices are so much more competitive. The few things I have bought from there in the past year have really stood the test of time and nothing unravels, rips, or breaks. For $20, that's almost miraculous..

Recently, I have been going to their online store and quite literally saying 'I want all of this'. So, to convince all you over the age of 21 that this is the hot spot, here you go:

I mean, am I right? Just looking at this image, you would not guess these things are from Forever 21. Check out their new arrivals here!

My Spring/Summer Wardrobe Update

When it comes to shopping, I consider myself like every other young(ish) trendy gal; when I get any sort of money, it burns a dark hole in my pocket and I itch to spend it almost immediately. If you don't have this problem, awesome! For those of you who do, know my tremendous struggle. Hence the reason why my husband does our finances and budgeting instead of me. If it was up to me, I would much rather book a vacation than pay a debt because .. well.. YOLO.

But, for the past few months, I actually held onto some money and planned my spring/summer wardrobe a  little bit better. At first, I purchased this jacket from Express. Even though it is beautiful and when I got it was only $30, it's not really me and doesn't go with too much I already own. Plus, with a larger bust,  it falls strangely across the chest. I went back, and instead purchased sandals since my puppy destroyed my only pair of flip flops and both my gladiators have been long ago falling apart.

I also saw this yellow blouse in Forever 21 and immediately images were dancing in my head of beautiful outfits I could put together with it; high waisted pants, wide leg linen pants, destroyed shorts... my list went on.

1. Express  sandals $29.90 30% off right now! ($20.00)    2. Forever 21  yellow blouse $22.90

HM lyocel blouse     $9.95, didn't even HAVE to think about this one, I've worn it a few times already since purchasing it a couple weeks ago, couldn't be happier. seen here

A few of the things are not up on the websites of the stores. I could not find these shorts or the high waisted white skinny pants. However, you can find them in H&M for $9.95! The white eyelet blouse is Forever 21 found here. It looks a bit different on the model, it is much wider at the hem on me and a bit more swing-y, it also shows more back on me. But, both of these are beautiful quality and detail for around $20. You do not need to spend too much for a quick summery bright update. A few fresh pieces will take you a long way, just focus on purchasing items that can go with items you already own.

This bikini is also Forever 21, this one and more here. If you are looking for a higher waist and not something cheap from China, Forever 21 is a good bet (I found the bottoms to run pretty small, so the bottom here is a medium even though I wear a 4). They have a ton of styles online. Another good one for high waist swimwear is Aerie.

Thanks for reading about my new fun purchases!
