What I Wore: Silky Tunic + Sandals

             If you follow on instagram, I mentioned wearing this out to dinner with family. It was really comfortable and breezy and it looks great with flats or heels. Also, this tunic is only $7 on sale from H&M right now. I wore it in the winter time with a long knee length  cardigan, thigh  high socks,and booties.

What I Wore: Polka Dot Twill Shorts

Shorts HM  striped version here  $12.95! They have these in stores, but not found online.  Top is Goodnight Macaroon. Jacket is Guess, but about ten years old. So, I consider this a small step towards mixing patterns. I told you all I was a bit intimidated by it so, baby steps! 

I wore this Friday evening for a stroll in the park, afterwards we grabbed some ice cream in an old school style ice cream shop. 

Thought I would throw this in, too... Cuz why not?

What I Wore: Lazy Fun Sunday

I hope everyone had a great weekend, we sure did! Saturday night my husband and I left the kid with our marvelous baby sitter and went to Mohegan Sun. We ate at Bar Americain, which was so damn good. Afterwards we indulged in some adult beverage and danced until I could not feel my feet. Sunday, we celebrated a very good friends graduation at this gorgeous lakeside home. Could not ask for a better time and better people to spend it with.

Hey! I hope everyone had a really wonderful and festive holiday filled with lots of food, family and cheerful memories. I am in California, and loving it! The weather is beautiful and a pleasant change from the east coast. These photos were from the day after Christmas, the family headed out to Solvang to do some exploring, eating, and wine tasting.
