What I Wore; A Visit to D.C

This Sunday me and my husband took my family sight seeing around DC a little bit. After they left we ventured a little bit further out of the tourist-y areas and discovered a really fantastic neighborhood full of historical homes and condos and really great restaurants. We walked all the way over to Agora after finding it online, we never tried Turkish food and it was all that I had hoped for. In case you are in the area and curious, it's at 1527 17th st NW. The entire neighborhood is adorable and very LGBT friendly as well as four legged 

baby friendly :)

What I Wore: Fuzzy Jacket and Flares

    

These little fuzzy jackets are quite popular now. They are a hybrid between faux fur and shearling, and they are super comfy. Luckily, I found this one in the depths of my closet from years ago. I can't tell you how many times that happens! I tell everyone, don't get rid of your clothes if you have the space to store it, because trends always come back around.

What I Wore: White after Labor Day

We didn't really have any definite plans for this day except for hitting up the french bakery I mentioned on Instagram. So we just wandered around. I wish I had known the seafood festival was going on because I would have loved to go! Unfortunately, it was right on the water and super cold and we were not dressed for that. 

My Chambray top and pants are both H&M, but I showed similar styles, both for affordable prices. My booties are Forever 21 from last year. I think this look would also be great with the updated chunky heel bootie.

Day Trip to Carcassones France

         These photos are from the day we spent in Carcassones France. If anyone reading here ever gets to Barcelona, the two hour trip to this walled medieval town is more than worth it. There are photo opportunities at every turn. It's all stunning! I didn't want to overwhelm you with all the photos I got of the incredible architecture, but it is really everywhere, and photos do not do it justice. Lets not forget the restaurants, cafes, and bars which are all located in various courtyards and gardens. I had duck breast topped with foie gras drizzled in a sweet red wine sauce- it was easily one of the best meals of my life.

What I Wore: Leather and Pinstripe

Here is what I wore yesterday to the Mariners Museum here in Virginia. It started off cool, gloomy and rainy and ended up gorgeous and sunny. I was ready, though, with layers. We had originally planned to head to the outer banks in North Carolina, but the weather there was not cooperating. Check out instagram next weekend because that's when we postponed it for.

What I Wore: Silky Tunic + Sandals

             If you follow on instagram, I mentioned wearing this out to dinner with family. It was really comfortable and breezy and it looks great with flats or heels. Also, this tunic is only $7 on sale from H&M right now. I wore it in the winter time with a long knee length  cardigan, thigh  high socks,and booties.
