This spring 2014 season is a perfect example to why I hoard clothes in my closets for a decade at a time. Fashion almost always repeats itself in one way or another, that's why you should always hold on to those cool unique pieces. This past fall/winter season was a great example when acid washed high waist jeans, flannel checked shirts and combat boots were popping up everywhere. It was all about the new grunge and the spring is continuing this trend. For the spring to make it fresh we are seeing grunge put together with floral or ruffly pieces for a little bit of extra femininity. Try a print dress (like this one: here )with combat or moto boots ( check these babies out on sale: here )with a checked shirt tied around the waist or a belt around the hips.

For the spring/summer 2014 season the trends are mirroring past years with cowgirl details like fringe, head to toe denim, boots, and low slung belts hanging loosely around the hips.
some awesome belts here: here ,and here on SALE here

I remember being a tween and shopping at cheapo stores like Rainbow and Contempo trying to pull off the coolest styles without my mom noticing what I purchased was waaay too provocative for my age. Among those styles are things I see on the runway now for this year. Sadly I didn't get away with purchasing those things back then and anyhow I feel I am in no shape to wear crop tops after having a kid.. Regardless of that I will still try to pull off this new trend with high waist pants or skirt to hide my mommy tummy! A good idea I suggest if you want to try this out without purchasing new clothes in a trend that will be gone in a blink is to cut up a cool old t-shirt ( that isn't worth too much of course).
SOooo .. go shop thrift stores and consignment stores, because one mans unwanted clothes are anothers treasures and you never know what you will find! Happy hunting..
