My Weekend at the Circus

No, I didn't run away and join the circus! This past Saturday I went to see Cirque de Solei with my husband and his family. I am not sure if you guys are familiar with these shows, but it was Amaluna, and it was so BEAUTIFUL! Last year we went to see the Evolution of man, I forget what that one was called but it was more acrobatic and I did prefer that one, but this one was different. It was less acrobatic and more music and dance focused, but still amazing (they incorporate water in this one!). I wish I could show some photos, but they do not allow any photography so as to not distract the performers who are risking their lives hanging and swinging in the air without any nets underneath! The pictures I did try to take of my outfit are dark and you can not see a single detail! :(  I gathered the items to show you the look. The shoes are not the actual version I wore, the ones I had were from bakers and the heel was a little chunkier with buckles at the ankle, however, they are a few years old and I can't find a photo of them online.

You can find the blazer on Amazon here  .   The jeans are Rebecca Minkoff $118 here
Also, I am aware that I have been wearing this green shirt everywhere so I did something different with it to give it a different look. I buttoned it up to the tip top of the neck (the top button is a very pretty silver decorative button), and took the two drapey pieces and wrapped them around my middle and tied them in the back. It instantly gave it a fresh new look and worked better with the jacket. I also slim rolled the jeans up to show off the ankle buckle on the heels. I accessorized with a leopard print clutch and dark plum lips, easy high bun and subtle jewelry:

Earrings at Express here   for $12.90

After the show we headed to City Island for some seafood! Previously living in Maine, I was not impressed with the seafood here for the price, but everyone else seemed to like what they ordered and the portions are impressively MASSIVE. So if you have an appetite and don't mind spending $50 for a plate, go to JP's!

Sunday started interesting... I went running with my bff who has been running regularly for quite a while. So, I say I went running Sunday morning, but really I just watched her back while she ran in front of me and I walked and ran briefly trying not to die! After that I went to breakfast with both sides of the family and relaxed at my parents house before it was time to head back home.
I hope you all had a great weekend too!
